We are thrilled to announce that the Girls Outdoor Track and Field team has emerged victorious at the CIAC Class S State Championship! The team of 8 showed incredible skill and determination, finishing with a total of 76 points, securing the 1st place spot over the 2nd place team, Thomaston, with 58 points.
A special congratulations to Chase Gilbert for outstanding performances in the 1600 and 3200 meter races, as well as anchoring the 2nd place 4x400 meter relay that contributed to the team's success. We also celebrate Zoe Eastman-Grossel for her remarkable victories in the 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, and her participation in the 4x400 relay. *Stay tune for more results Let's also celebrate Jacob Volkerts for his impressive achievements, finishing 1st in the 100-meter dash and 2nd in the 200-meter race. Next, the team will be heading to the State Open on Monday to showcase their talents once again. We wish them the best of luck! On Tuesday, May 28th, Lyme-Old Lyme hosted the Shoreline Conference Unified Field and BBQ to wrap up the season. We were thrilled to welcome Unified delegates from Panama who are taking part in an exchange program with the Coginchaug Unified Program. After enjoying the afternoon playing field games and sharing a meal together, the delegates had the opportunity to visit the beach.
