Chinese Honor Society

Description: Chinese Honor Society (NCHS) is an organization whose intent is to recognize high school students in the United States who have maintained excellent grades in at least three semesters of Chinese Language Courses. The NCHS promotes knowledge of Chinese culture and language. It focuses on students' academic achievements and promotes social progress, community services, and supports causes that benefit the needy around the world.
How to get involved: Talk to Mr. Wang
Meeting Time(s): Meeting of CNHS are every other week from 7:15 a.m. to 7:35 a.m. on Mondays in room 242.
Advisor: Mr. John Wang
Events: Members will meet and come up with ideas for community service. They will also be learning more about contemporary Chinese culture and brainstorm ideas. Events from the past include fund raisers through arts and crafts, movie nights, ping pong tournaments, etc. to help people and programs that have international impact.
Commitment/Expectations for attendance for meetings, practice(s), and/or event(s):
Members are expected to plan, participate and engage in the Society's planned events and fundraisers. The Society expects a minimal commitment from students of one meeting per month.
