(ECOS) Environmental and Community Organization of Stewards
Club Name: ECOS (Environmental and Community Organization of Stewards)
Description: ECOS is a student-centered group dedicated to community service and the preservation of the local environment.

Meeting Time: Wednesday @ 7:15 am
Meeting Location: TASC, room 233
Events: We work alongside local organizations like LYSB, Lions Club, Old Lyme Open Space, Old Lyme Land Trust and others. Each spring, we volunteer at local Hartford Marathon Foundation Races in Niantic and Mystic. Activities typically occur on the weekends and require 1-3 hours each. Activities are also held at LOLHS including a food drive in the fall, maintaining an herb garden and sponsoring a movie night.
Commitment/Expectations: for attendance at meetings, and events: Students are expected to attend meetings regularly, collaborate with others generating ideas and developing projects, volunteer in one club activity each semester, and bring an attitude of kindness toward others and the environment.
To maintain active membership, each semester students must not miss more than 5 regular meetings and they are encouraged to volunteer in 1 activity. Officers will be elected at the second meeting of the year. This meeting is mandatory for all that plan to run for office.
