GeoChallenge
Description: GeoChallenge is a map reading, problem solving and trivia that competes at the Connecticut State GeoChallenge. Students are assigned a geographic area to study and our meetings are used to practice answering trivia questions, orienteering and problem solving.
How to get involved: Contact Mr. D'Aquila and attend a meeting if you are interested.
Meeting Time(s): Meetings start in January. Fridays @ TBD in Mr. D'Aquila’s room.

Events: The Connecticut State GeoChallenge competition occurs in May at a state university and by teacher nomination only. This event occurs during the school day and would require students to miss a full school day. This event lasts 4-5 hours including travel.
Commitment/Expectations for attendance for meetings, practice(s), and/or event(s):
This club expects a minimal commitment from students (30 min - 1 hr/week). Students should attend weekly morning meetings unless they are seeking extra help from another teacher. If absent students must let advisor know prior to the meeting. Officers are required to attend all meetings. Sign-in occurs at meetings. If a students does not attend meetings they will not participate in the GeoChallenge and thus considered a non-member.
