Spectrum
Description: Spectrum is a socially conscious club that runs both fun and educational activities aimed at supporting all minority groups and working to dispel stereotypes they face. We encourage a broader understanding and appreciation of people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, ethnic backgrounds, national origins and disabilities.
How to get involved: Contact Ms. Williams and attend a meeting if you are interested.
Meeting Time(s): Tuesdays at 2:30 for 1hour or more depending on projects in hand year Round.
Advisor: Ms. Joanna Williams
Events: Events include but are not limited to: Day of Silence, LGBTQ Week, Women’s History Month, World AIDS Day, Black History Month, No Name Calling Week, and occasional movie gatherings.
Commitment/Expectations for attendance for meetings, practice(s), and/or event(s):
This club meets weekly for 30 minutes (sometimes more to work on projects/posters). This group has an open door policy—new members are always welcome!
