YAC (Youth Advisory Council)
Description: YAC is a community service organization open to all high school students interested in helping out in their community.
How to get involved: Join us any Wednesday night at YAC! Please come to our meeting and join the fun. Please register on our website www.lysb.org
Meeting Time(s): First meeting is Wednesday, September 25th from 7:00-8:00 at LYSB
Advisor: Missy Garvin, Youth Director at the Lymes’ Youth Service Bureau
Events: Each year, the group participates in a variety of activities including sponsoring dances and events for high schoolers, adopting families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and many community projects that come our way. YAC also fundraises for the Youth Advisory Council Community Scholarship which is awarded to graduating seniors who have shown a commitment to community service.
