On Tuesday, October 3, 2023 a group of Lyme-Old Lyme High School Athletes were awarded the 2022-2023 Michaels Jewelers Achievement Cup Award. The Michaels Jewelers Achievement Cup exists to honor CIAC member schools that provide exemplary athletic programs. The Cup was created in the early 1980s as the brainchild of Roy Michaels, the owner of Michaels Jewelers, in an effort to recognize outstanding athletic programs. In 2008 CIAC began direct oversight of the program. Then in 2017, the focus of The Cup transitioned to honoring schools for their commitment to sportsmanship. The Michaels Jewelers Cup honors exemplary athletics programs for their willingness to subscribe to the Class Act Sportsmanship standards, empowering students to take an active role in their school climate and their continued support for community service. This is Lyme-Old Lyme High School's 5th consecutive time receiving this award and our 9th overall.

Volleyball Dig Pink Game

Congratulations to the Lyme-Old Lyme Volleyball team on a successful Breast Cancer Awareness Dig Pink Game. The team raised $1000 through the sales of t-shirts and baked goods. All proceeds will be donated to the Closer to Free Fund through the Smilow Cancer Center in memory of Lynsey Eno.
Lynsey lost her battle with breast cancer on August 30th of this year. She was a resident of Westbrook and a guidance counselor at Killingly HS. Lindsey was close friends will an LOLHS player. We send our thoughts to the family and friends.
