The Day’s 2022 All-Area Girls’ Cross Country Runner of the Year: Old Lyme’s Chase Gilbert12/19/2022 On Saturday, December 10th some of the LOLHS Indoor Track team ran the Niantic Jingle Bell 5K. Overall, the team did great. Congrats to all those who ran it- even Coach D'Aquila! A special shoutout to some winners! Freshman Chase Gilbert won her age group and took 1st place overall for the female runners. She ran the race in 18:06. Congrats to Senior captain Maddy Morgado for taking 1st place in her age group, with a time of 22:54, and senior captain Dylan Hovey for taking 2nd in his age group with a time of 18:05. The indoor track team is looking forward to a competitive season and hope to see some support at our meets!  |
