On February 18th, the Lyme Old Lyme High School Indoor track team competed in the 2023 Connecticut State Open Championship Indoor Track Meet. Here are some of the results.

- Girls 4x800 2nd place with a time of 9:44.30 Maddy Morgado, Aggie Hunt, Lyla Powers, Chase Gilbert (school record)
- Girls 55 Hurdles 9th place with a time of 8.76 Zoe Eastman-Grossel (school record) 
- Girls 3200m 2nd place with a time of 10:50.83 Chase Gilbert (school record)
- Boys shot put 2nd place with a throw of 52 ft 7.75 inches Dylan Sheehan
- Girls 4x400 13th place with a time of 4:19.31 Maddy Morgado, Aggie Hunt, Lyla Powers, Chase Gilbert (school record)
- Girls 1000m 14th place Maddy Morgado with a time of 3:16.78

The following athletes will be continuing on to compete in the New England Championship meet on March 4th: Maddy Morgado (4x800m), Aggie Hunt (4x800m), Lyla Powers (4x800m), Chase Gilbert (4x800 and 3200m), and Dylan Sheehan (shot put).

On Saturday, February 18, 2023 the wrestling team competed in the CIAC Class S State Championship. The team finished 15th overall with both Stefan Ryer and Hoshena Gemme finishing 2nd in their weight classes.

Hoshena who was seeded first, got a first round bye, but had to wrestling three competitors to get to the finals where she meet the number two seed, a junior from Killingly HS. Stefen who was seeded second wrestled his way through the bracket to meet a strong #1 seed from Windham. Others were:

- Rowan Hovey who made it to the quarterfinals.
- Alain Pecher-Kohout who met a fierce senior from New Fairfield in the first round.
- Ricky Frascarelli III who lost a tough second round match verse a senior from Portland.

Both Stefan and Hoshena will move on to the CIAC State Open Championship on February 24 at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven. 

Congratulations to the indoor track athletes that competed in the Shoreline Championship on Friday, February 3rd. The track team will be heading to HillHouse High School on Thursday, February 9th to compete in the Class S Statement Championship.
