On Thursday, March 7th, our Boys Basketball team kicked off their Division V State Tournament campaign with high hopes as the #3 Seed. After a first-round bye, they faced off against #14 Seed Gasso Tech Tech and emerged victorious with a solid 53-44 win at home. The excitement continued on March 11, 2024, when Lyme-Old Lyme took on #6 Seed Somers in a thrilling match on home turf. The team secured a spot in the semifinals with a 52-47 triumph. With tensions running high, the Wildcats battled it out in the semifinals on Wednesday, March 13, at the packed Xavier gym. In a nail-biting finish, they clinched a close 43-40 victory, propelling them to the Finals. The ultimate showdown took place at Mohegan Sun on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Our Boys Basketball team made Lyme-Old Lyme proud by overpowering Coventry with an impressive 55-42 win in an electrifying game. Congratulations to the boys and their coaches on a well-deserved victory! Go Wildcat! We also had an amazing performance by the Lyme-Old Lyme Select Singers, directed by Choir Teacher, Kristine Pekar, who sang the national anthem at the start of the game at Mohegan Sun. ![]() ![]() Finally, congratulations to Leland Hine on being selected as the Most Outstanding Players of the game.
