The LOLHS Indoor track team is full steam ahead with their season. The team has attended 5 meets this season, with an incredible number of new school records. To start, Chase Gilbert has found her niche in the distance events. She holds the school record in the 1600m with a time of 5:08 and in the 2-mile with a time of 11:03. Sophomore Zoe Eastman-Grossel has started her first full season with the team and easily beat the school record in the 55 Hurdles with a time of 9.27 seconds. Our 4x400 girls' teams have gotten a school record, and then beat it the next meet. Currently holding the school record with a time of 4:28 is Maddy Morgado, Bronwyn Kyle, Aggie Hunt, and Lyla Powers. Finally, Dylan Sheehan now holds the school record in shot put with a throw of 51ft 3.25 inches. Our girls 4x800 of Maddy Morgado, Aggie Hunt, Lyla Powers, and Chase Gilbert is ranked 1st in the entire state. The Shoreline Championship meet is February 3rd and the Class S State Meet is February 9th, both at Hillhouse High School. We hope to see the community come and support as we look to continue to break school records.
