On Friday, December 21st, LOLHS closed out the year with a bang! We welcomed the preschoolers as the official judges for this years' amazing door decoration contest. It was probably the best year ever for the decorations - from gingerbread houses, sharks, snowflakes, ... the works! After the judges finished their tour of the doors, we adjourned to the auditorium for our annual holiday assembly where we all competed in fun activities like the Jingle Bell Hop, Musical Chairs, the Limbo, and the Advisor Wrap. And what holiday assembly would be complete without a mini-concert from the incredible LOLHS Band and Chorus? We had lots of fun. Take a look at some of the photos and video clips below.

Come see the Premier of Amped Up 2019 show:  RISE - A Refugee Story based on the story of Darin Hamou and her journey from Aleppo, Syria to Old Lyme, Connecticut. Proceeds will go to benefit the LOLHS Show Choir and Show Band.  Additional performances by seniors Kendall Antoniac, Madison Babcock, Liam Clark, Elyza Learned, Hannah Morrison, Jacob Olsen, Katie Reid, and Justin Shaw. 

The Mock Trial team has won both their trials securing a win at the regional level. They advance to the State Quarter Finals which will be held on Friday, February 1st. This team has worked diligently since August, coming into school on Sundays for four hours to prepare  At both trials our students were recognized for their excellence and good character.
