SAC Members Help with HS Transition

1/30/2022

On Thursday this week, members of the Student Advisory Council (SAC) joined myself and Mrs. Molnar during our second session of "High School Here We Come!". SAC students answered various questions based on the Jeopardy game that we played with the eighth grade students. Students were able to gain a better understanding of various topics related to high school such as time management, homework expectations, study halls, elective courses, attendance, credits,  dances, clubs and sports, etc. All this was to prepare them for February 17th when they will meet the HS Counselors and  recieve their course selection sheets and later that night ... join us at the 8th Grade Student/Parent Night at 6:30 at LOLHS.

TechnoTicks Celebrate Kickoff of 2022 FIRST Robotics Season
Team 236-TechnoTicks met in a hybrid model this Saturday for the Kickoff of the 2022 FIRST Robotics Season. The team is looking forward to building a robot again, after working remotely on a Cube Satellite project last year, after the regular season was cancelled due to Covid. Students and mentors met in the Media Center, wearing masks, and were joined via Zoom by those who were unable to attend in person. The Kickoff was very exciting, with videos previewing this season’s game theme, playing field, rulebook, and kit of parts. The 2022 theme is “Rapid React”. Watch the game animation below!
