First days of school can bring on some "First Day" jitters. So, to help with that, we were lucky to have project paws join us during lunches on Tuesday. On Thursday, the students were excited to welcome Elway, the duck, too!
A special thanks to the Tim Buckley Project for making this happen!
Although we are only 3 days into the year, the positive energy and excitement in the halls of Lyme-Old Lyme High School is electric! On Wednesday and Thursday Jim and I welcomed back class with a short class assembly. We reviewed our Core Value and Beliefs, LOLHS Expectations and our Honor Code along with some basics. During Advisory this week, students engaged in a closer read of the handbook to ensure their understanding of some important details and reviewed our Advisory expectations. Take a look!
BE ON TIME! Students are expected to be in their classrooms by 7:40 ready to learn. The front doors lock at 7:39. If a student is arriving late to school, they are to sign in at the main office to receive a pass to go to their first period class. Please review page 17 of the handbook for further clarification.
Dress Code: Contrary to what your students may tell you, we do have a dress code at LOLHS. We take great pride in the appearance of our students and believe that student attire reflects upon the quality of our school. In an effort to create a positive learning environment, students are expected to come to school dressed in an appropriate manner. Below are the expectations found on pages 26.
