Physics students in Mr. Fisler's class demonstrate how an increase in collision time will decrease the force on an object (like air bags in a car or when you bend your knees when you jump down off a chair) using EGGS! Students engineered devices with an egg. These devices were were dropped from the catwalk, and then from the roof if they survived. Those that survived the roof drop were ranked according to certain design parameters. Devices received more points if they were small, lightweight, and if they fell quickly. The best performing device was awarded to Mariame Biuma, whose device received 211 quality points. Second place was awarded to Sean Sagristano and Tim O’Brien with 204 quality points. Well Done Wildcats! Comments are closed.
