The Chinese I classes are learning all about Chinese calligraphy - its cultural value and historical significance in the Chinese society; they are also becoming experts in understanding and deciphering the five different styles of calligraphy; as well, they are practicing this ancient form of writing that's not only known for its artistic value, but more importantly, for its communicative functions in language learning and its real life applications, such as its wide use in commercial signs. It's a great practice of patience, concentration, and self-awareness from a cultural perspective and everyone really enjoys it. Comments are closed.
