By: Juanjo Vazquez-Caballero Three groups of students collaborated on a special project: The Spanish Honor Society, students from High School 101 classes, and the LOLHS Unified Sports Club. The purpose of the project was to send love and support to children separated from their parents at the border. The students from High School 101 classes were responsible for creating the front of the greeting cards. They decorated them with cartoons and movie images that five to eight year olds would recognize. The members of the Spanish Honor Society and the members of Ms. Corah’s Unified Sports Club will write messages in Spanish on the inside of the cards as well as add more drawings and a piece of candy (Lifesavers). This is the third year that students have collaborated on this project to send comfort to others. Comments are closed.
