The JV Team has earned the 2017-2018 Greater Middlesex Math League Conference JV Champions! With the final win on February 14 over all schools, including large division such as Xavier and Mercy, they have earned the overall Division title. Leading the overall scoring in the Conference for sophomores was Ryan McTigue followed by Ted Wayland, Rachael Larson and Evan St. Louis. Leading the Conference for the freshmen was Connie Pan, followed by Juliette Atkinson. There were also two 8th graders competing; Mary Wholean and Nikolai Stephens-Zumbaum who also scored points and contributed to the overall team’s success. As for the Varsity Mathletes... They came in 1st place in the small division in our conference this year, so far with one more meet to go on March 22nd at Mercy High School. Great Job at our last home meet on February 28th! Congratulations to Ryan McTigue for scoring a perfect 18 and to Reed Spitzer scoring 17 and helping LOLHS to win the small school meet as well as place 3rd overall. Other official members who scored well and contributed to the team’s success were senior Caroline Wholean, junior Hannah Morrison, and sophomore Rachael Larson. Unofficial members scoring very well were junior Josh Liefeld, sophomore Ted Wayland and freshmen Juliette Atkinson and Connie Pan. In addition, Reed Spitzer is leading the whole Conference with 6 appearances and nearly a perfect score at every meet with a total of 107 points out of 108 possible! Amazing performance Reed! Also, job well done to Ryan McTigue who as a sophomore holds a commanding lead among all sophomores and freshmen in the league with 89 points! Congratulations to the Wildcat Mathletes!
