The Environmental Club was out at the Belton Copp Preserve on Sunday, Feb. 9 to continue their efforts as stewards of the property for the Old Lyme Land Trust. Fred and Andrea Fenton, members of the OLLT, came out to assist the group and provide snack after our work party. We hope you have a chance to stop by and see this wonderful property on Smithneck Road. The club will be returning one more time this year in the early spring to continue working on removing invasives around the entrance to the preserve and identifying areas that may need additional targeting during the summer. If you are interested in getting some fresh air and making a difference, please join the club and come out to make a difference. Members are not required to attend weekly meetings but are asked to donate an hour of time once a month at our club activities. Email Mrs. Fried at friedh@region18.org to be added to our email distribution list.
