LOLHS participate in Shoreline Symposium

A team of Lyme-Old Lyme High School students and faculty joined eight other teams from schools in the region to share, discuss and brainstorm ways to improve our programming in "Getting Life Ready!"  The objectives for the day included:

• Develop a broader understanding of the skills needed to be successful beyond high school by interacting with a variety of key stakeholders from the community.
• ​ Share current programs and school activities that help students prepare for their future.
• Outline a plan for each school to improve programs to help students transition out of high school.  

​Our team included six students (Emily Balocca, Arianna DelMastro, Lydia TInnerello, Fiona Fredricks, and Andrew Hedberg) and six faculty (John McGannon, Louis Zubek, Emily Kelly, Christina Todd, Kirk Kaczor, and myself)  who will continue to work throughout the year to analyze how LOLHS might take the information learned and develop ways to begin implementation.
