This weekend I hope you had an opportunity to experience the fantastic talent that our students have in the arts....either at the District Art Show or at the Old Lyme Players production of Once Upon a Mattress. Take a look! The Fine Arts at the District Youth Art ShowThis weekend marks the conclusion of the 2018 District 18 Youth Art Show exhibited at the Lyme's Art Academy. As I walked through the rooms of the Art Academy viewing the student work, I was once again reminded of the talent that our students have and the technique that Mr. Raiti, Mr. Allik and Mrs. McDonald foster on a daily basis. The stunning student work that was presented in the halls of the Academy included ceramics, digital art, sculpture, drawing and painting and reinforced once again what makes LOLHS such an impressive school. The Preforming Arts... Once Upon a MattressThis weekend the Old Lyme Players out performed yet again! The professional quality of this year's musical absolutely astounded me.... from the sets to the costumes, the music, dancing, acting,... every aspect was extremely professional and truly a joy to watch! The cast, crew, directors and parents are due an ovation for such a wonderful production. Well done Old Lyme Players! Comments are closed.
