By Spectrum's President, Arianna DelMastro
On Friday, March 22, members of Lyme-Old Lyme High School’s Spectrum attended the annual True Colors conference at UCONN. The conference is held every March and lasts for two days, during which students and school faculty from all over gather to take part in various workshops of their choosing. These workshops are meant to unite people of every type of background, educate individuals on topics pertaining to the LGBTQ+ community (and other related topics), promote mental wellness, and celebrate diversity. There are some workshops designed specifically for teachers, some designed specifically for (and by) students, and some for everyone together. For more information on the True Colors organization, you can visit the True Colors website. Spectrum, a club at LOLHS that works to encourage acceptance and promote diversity, attends the conference every year and encourages you to go, too! Comments are closed.
