"In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt." - Margaret AtwoodThe LOLHS Spring Environmental Science class recently cleaned up their gardens. Bamboo reclaimed from the LOLMS gardens were used to create sustainably sourced garden trellises and students recently planted peas, spinach, and radishes. The gardens will be tended for the remainder of the year as part of a curriculum that considers the importance of pollinators, soil preservation, agricultural practices, and food security here and around the world.
