By: Mr. D'Aquila 75 juniors and seniors participated in LOLHS' Biennial DC trip. The weather was great and the memorials and museums were enriching and powerful. A few highlights included a night tour of the Lincoln, Vietnam War and Korean War memorials, delicious lunch in the huge USDA cafeteria, up-close looks at our nation's founding documents, a dinner and dance boat cruise down the Potomac, a powerful reminder never to forget with the tour of the Holocaust Museum, and witnessing the solemn changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. We even got to sneak a peek at a few early blooming cherry trees! It truly was a memorable trip. Current freshman and Sophomores should start planning for the 2021 LOLHS Washington DC trip!
