How likely are you to work for a business that has an international component?
If you were in the presentation of combined classes, International Business and Chinese, the answer was obvious - highly likely! John Wang, teacher of Chinese, presented statistics of the growing global economy and China's place in it along with an explanation of how business is conducted in China. Joanne Hedwall, teacher of International Business, pointed out the contrasts between doing business in China versus doing business in the US. Normally the two teachers have one class session but there were so many questions the students posed that they decided to meet for a second time. The group of over 40 students were able to watch power point presentations with numerous videos and ask questions about the differences in culture and conducting business. Wang and Hedwall have been combining their classes since Wang came on board in the high school. Comments are closed.
