Ending 2016...Lyme-Old Lyme High School finished off 2016 with a bang! Advisories worked on community projects. Students collected food for the local soup kitchen, purchased holiday gifts for children of all ages, read books to LOL pre-school children, collected books for a regional children's library, wrote holiday greetings to veterans and so much more! Continuing on with the LOLHS tradition, advisories competed in the Annual Door Decorating Contest. Take a look at some of them... Winners were announced at our annual Holiday Assembly where we all enjoyed some holiday cheer listening to our magnificent Band play and Chorus sing (take a listen at the snipit below). Student Leaders also organized a fun game of Family Feud where classes competed against eachother... the Seniors triumphed! ... Welcoming in the New Year!Happy 2017! January will be a little busy with the semester coming to an end and exams taking place in a couple of weeks ... two and a half to be exact. Exams will begin on January 19 and continue through January 24. I will be sending out the schedule via email to all families and posting it to the LOLHS: Student Canvas Course. We will be holding 'Study with a Buddy' sessions January 17 and 18 after school and evening providing students with some guidance and support for exam preparation. Second semester courses will begin January 25. ...And that is it in a nutshell!... Happy New Year!
