 The World Language Department is pleased to announce that senior Willa Hoerauf has been selected as its Rotary Scholar of the Month. Willa has been an outstanding Spanish student throughout her four years at LOLHS. During that time, Willa has been a proven leader both in and out of the classroom. She is currently enrolled in the Spanish AP/UConn ECE course, where she achieves at the highest levels. During her junior year, she participated in a two-week immersion program in Spain, where she demonstrated a remarkable ability to use her language skills in a real-world context. Her passion for global issues has led her to be active in both the Spanish National Honor Society and Amnesty International, where she is an officer.
