Rotary Students of the Month in Business & Technology Education

Wednesday morning, the Rotary Club honored our two students representing Business and Technology Education. Jamie Bucior and Andy Zelek along with students from Old Saybrook and Westbrook, were commended for their excellence in their respective subjects.

​Jamie Bucior is LOLHS' Rotary Student of the Month in Business. Jamie has excelled in numerous classes offered by the business department and she is W!SE Certified Financially Literate. She is an enthusiastic leader in and out of the classroom involved in many activities and organizations. Jamie will be attending Bentley in the fall where she will be studying either the finance, management, or a combination of both. 

Andy Zelek has been an important part of our Technology and Engineering classes at LOLHS.
Andy was a hard-working student in Woodworking Technology class and continues this effort this year in Electrical Technology class and a Senior level independent study.  In the classroom, he accepts the responsibility of being a role model for underclassmen.  He helps set a standard for other students in the areas of self-discipline, and quality of work.  He is an Eagle Scout and proud member of the Lyme Fire Department. He plans on continuing his education in the field of Forestry.
