On Monday, May 15, thirteen regional schools convened at Valley Regional High School to celebrate and honor the Shoreline Social Studies Award recipients. Connecticut's Lieutenant Governor, Nancy Wymen presented the awards.  OLHS is proud to present the Shoreline Excellence in Social Studies Award to Hannah Wisner. Hannah has achieved outstanding excellence in social studies for the past three years. She is an incredible writer and she is always questioning. She is a member of the National Honor Society, participates on the Debate team and with the Geography Bee, and holds an officer position in Community Service Club. Both Ms. Hylas and Mr. D’Aquila agree that what sets Hannah apart is her willingness to share her knowledge and her commitment to lift up all learners in the classroom. Hannah is a true role model and is well deserving of this award. Congratulations Hannah!
