By Eli Ryan For the last week of September, members of the Spanish Honors Society created the society’s first bulletin board of the year, presenting the famous Spanish festival, La Tomatina! This annual event occurs in the town of Bunol in Spain on the last Wednesday of August every year. Participants spend the day throwing tomatoes at each other, causing a sea of red across the town. This festival supposedly originates from a street fight during a parade in 1945, that eventually turned into a town spread food fight. This event has occurred annually since.  Comments are closed.
