Are We Concerned About Symptoms of Allergies or Covid-19?With spring allergy symptoms ramping up, families and school nurses have an added stress of sorting out symptoms that are common to both conditions. It is also important to note if the symptoms are new to the child or if the child has had a history of allergies. The CDC has published this info graphic that may be useful as a reference tool for families. Other factors that may play into a scenario include whether a student has been exposed to a person who has been diagnosed with Covid-19, the length of tine the child has had symptoms, and any history of already having had Covid-19.
Families should always contact their child’s health provider for guidance and be sure to communicate with the child’s school nurse. Comments are closed.
