Connecticut Voice: a legislative initiative for students across the State of Connecticut ![]() Kudos to two of our LOLHS students who participated in CTVoice: a 60+ member student group selected by their teachers and schools to give them a VOICE in the legislature. Both students participated in the kick-off meeting at the Capitol in Hartford on September 14. Students were addressed by Governor Malloy and other dignitaries. The day was launched with activities educating members about literacy rates and the action that students can take to help close the achievement gap in Connecticut. Students were given a tour of the Capitol and worked together to start creating legislation to propose next January.
