The Lyme-Old Lyme-East Lyme robotics team, the Technoticks, have started their build season strong in 2020. This year’s game is called Infinite Recharge and is a collaboration with Disney based on the Star Wars series. In this game, alliances struggle to defend FIRSTCity from an asteroid storm. Alliances, with their robots (droids) collect and score Power Cells to charge their shield generator in order to protect themselves from the oncoming danger. After scoring specific amounts of Power Cells, the droids are able to move on to spinning the Control Panel, an important step in getting the Shield Generator to be functional. Droids then attempt to go to their Rendezvous Point, with the goal of balancing the switch to restore peace to the city. The first competition is in Waterbury on March 7th.
The Technoticks are currently working on designing prototypes in various subcommittees based on different tasks which need to be accomplished. Soon, the team will gather together to create the final robot with all of the components working cohesively to create the best robot for the mission. Good luck Team 236! Comments are closed.
