The weekend of April 6th, the Lyme-Old-Lyme-East Lyme robotics team (aka: the TecHnoTicks) went to the New England District Hartford event to compete with our 2019 robot. The game this year is Destination: Deep Space and is played with hatch panels and cargo that teams must maneuver in order to score points (see video above). Hartford was a 2-day event, with qualifying matches all day Saturday and Sunday morning and finals Sunday afternoon. Team 236, The TechnoTicks did well in the qualifying matches, ending 18th out of 39. Sunday afternoon, we got picked by 7th alliance captain, 3555 The Alluminati. We beat alliance 2 in our quarterfinals and alliance 6 in semifinals, bringing us to finals with our alliance. We lost in the finals to alliance 1 but put up a strong fight, getting us silver medals. On April 24th, our team makes its way to Nationals in Detroit where we will be competing against and with some of the best robotics teams in the country. Team 236, The TechnoTicks are excited to represent the towns of Lyme, Old Lyme, and East Lyme in Detroit. Congratulations TechnoTicks for all your hard work... and GOOD LUCK on your continued journey to nationals! GO WILDCATS! Comments are closed.
